Dormer E500 straight flute tap for metric coarse threading.
The 12 mm × 1.75 taper tap is designed for hand tapping or machine use, with straight flutes enabling cutting in through holes and blind holes across most materials.
When tapping blind holes, straight flute taps are used as a three-tap set: taper (first), intermediate (second) and bottoming (third) stages.
The tap is manufactured from HSS (High Speed Steel) with bright surface finish.
It meets ISO 529 specification and is Class 2 tolerance for 6H fit.
Chamfer configuration Nos.
1, 2 and 3 apply to serial versions 4 and 5.
